Apollo II: exercise

As bad as I feel for keeping Luna and Pinball indoors, it's better than having either of them squished by some wanker in an SUV making a phone call when he should be driving. However, I do still try to give them as much space as I can whenever I can.

Alas, when I do this it turns my apartment and the corridor outside into one giant drag strip. It's hilarious watching both kittens skid on the cheap tiles of the kitchen floor, but there are consequences.

Anything not nailed down or cemented to a wall is a likely candidate for collision...

Apollo I: toilet training

So the honeymoon is over. Or so I thought as I inspected the turd, or should I say, turds neatly piled in a deftly pawed pocket in my green duvet. She'd been for a pee too, despite the lovely new cat litter commode I'd lavished her with.

It was hours (and one joint) later when it occurred to me that her pee and poo were in separate deftly pawed pockets in the green duvet.

Separate.

Eureka. I emptied a large, square, plastic container I had under the sink and filled it with gritty kitty. As soon as I put it down next to the other tray she seemed pretty chuffed and made a point of showing me some love. And then she had a field day in the second litter tray - cats love gritty kitty I guess. This one does anyway. It took me the rest of the night to wash all the bedclothes though, and the duvet was still wet after a trip through the tumble drier so I went to bed wrapped only in the duvet cover.

Who knew? Particular cats are particular enough to use two litter trays.
